Strategy
Tidewatch Command
★★★★☆ 4.2
Tidewatch Command is a slower, thinkier game than most of what we cover. You run a cluster of islands, route ships between them, and keep your little economy from tipping over. It's the sort of game you play with a cup of coffee, not on a crowded platform.
The menus are clean, which matters a lot for strategy on a small screen. Tapping a route and watching the goods flow is oddly relaxing, and the weather system adds just enough chaos to keep you paying attention. Storms can wreck a supply line if you plan carelessly.
It's not flashy, and the early tutorial is a touch long. But once it opens up, there's a genuine strategic puzzle here that kept pulling us back for one more voyage.
What we liked
- Clean menus for a strategy game
- Relaxing trade loops
- Weather that keeps you honest
